This 1986 Honda Z50RD Christmas Special is a limited-edition model that was produced for one year only and was distributed in pairs to top Honda US dealerships. The RD is based on the Z50R, and all Christmas Special examples feature a chrome-plated finish with red, white, and blue graphics. Power is provided by a 49cc single linked to a three-speed transmission with an automatic clutch, and equipment includes an upswept exhaust system, chrome-finished 8″ steel wheels, and a side stand as well as a replacement seat and hand grips. The bike is said to have spent time in Minnesota collector before it was acquired by the seller in 2022. This Z50RD is now offered in Washington for off-road use only with a bill of sale no title card, tags or manual.The steel backbone frame, fenders, chassis components, and fork legs feature a chrome-plated finish, as does the 1.3-gallon fuel tank that wears red, white, and blue Honda graphics and a red “Special” decal on top. Additional features include a side stand, white plastic number plates, and a replacement red motocross-style seat. Multi-piece 8″ steel wheels are finished in chrome and wear Bridgestone Trail Wing tires. Braking is handled by front and rear drums, and the suspension consists of an inverted fork as well as dual shocks mounted to the swing arm.The chrome-finished cross-braced handlebar is equipped with a twist-grip throttle, an ignition switch, and a brake lever on the right as well as a pair of replacement red hand grips. The bike is not equipped with instrumentation, therefore total mileage is unknown. The horizontal 49cc four-stroke single is equipped with a Keihin carburetor and a kick starter as well as a high-mounted exhaust system with heat shields. This Z50RD does not have a title or registration. It is being sold on a bill of sale only.
